I have been in the technology game for over sixty years, as a programmer, architect, manager, director, author, and industry analyst. I’ve tried, in all those roles to tell the truth, to be ethical and honest, and to learn a bit every day. I’ve loved the field, the people in it, and the opportunities it’s presented me. But I have to face two things, first that things have changed in tech in ways I’m not happy with, and second, that I’m an old man. So, it’s time to retire.
I will keep my blog here going, once per week, until February of 2027. If you have contributed to my “Users Only” page, you can ask questions or make comments as usual through that period. Once it passes, I’m going to remove this site and contents, and all the associated emails.
